Privacy Policy
This explains what happens to personal information when somebody visits the website, contacts me or discusses a potential assignment.
Data controller: Luke Stephenson, trading as LS Fleet & Business Solutions. Business correspondence: 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. For privacy enquiries, email luke@lsfleetbusiness.com or call +44 (0) 7787 301330.
Information I may collect
This may include your name, business, job title, telephone number, email address, the information you provide about an enquiry, correspondence and records connected with an agreed assignment. The website host may also create technical and security logs such as IP address, browser information, dates, times and pages requested.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through a general website enquiry unless it is necessary and we have agreed an appropriate way to handle it.
How and why I use it
- To respond to an enquiry and discuss your requirements.
- To prepare a proposal, quotation or agreement.
- To deliver, administer and record agreed services.
- To manage client, supplier and professional relationships.
- To protect the website, prevent misuse and maintain appropriate records.
- To meet legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting and tax obligations.
The lawful basis will normally be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation or pursuing legitimate business interests. Consent will be used where the law requires it, including certain forms of direct marketing.
Who information may be shared with
I do not sell personal information. Information may be shared where necessary with website, email and IT providers, accountants, insurers, legal or professional advisers, payment providers, regulators or public authorities. Where an assignment requires another specialist or partner business, relevant information will only be shared where there is a proper reason and suitable arrangements are in place.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, I will use providers and arrangements that offer an appropriate legal safeguard or another lawful transfer mechanism. This policy will be reviewed if the website host, enquiry route or supporting technology changes.
How long information is kept
Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed. General enquiries will ordinarily be reviewed and removed after 24 months if they do not lead to work. Contract, financial and tax records may normally be retained for up to six years after the relevant relationship or accounting period. A longer period may apply where needed for legal claims, insurance, safeguarding or regulatory requirements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, receive certain information in a portable format and withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute in every situation.
Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests and you may object to direct marketing at any time.
Contact me using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security and updates
I use proportionate organisational and technical controls intended to protect information. No internet service can promise absolute security. This policy will be reviewed when the hosting, enquiry route, analytics or business arrangements change.
