Vehicle Inspections & Technical Investigations
Establish what happened, what the evidence shows and what needs to change.
When a vehicle, component, repair or maintenance decision is being questioned, I examine the evidence and explain clearly what it shows. I work within the areas covered by my qualifications and practical experience across buses, coaches, Heavy Goods Vehicles, vans and cars.
Discuss an inspection or reportWhen this helps
When an independent technical view is needed.
- A serious or repeated vehicle failure has occurred
- The root cause is unclear or disputed
- Repair quality or supplier performance is in question
- A vehicle condition, warranty or garage dispute needs reviewing
What I can do
A clear process built around the evidence.
I agree the scope first, review the available information, inspect the vehicle or component where required and separate confirmed evidence from professional opinion. Any limitations or need for further specialist testing are made clear.
What the client gets
Clearer decisions and practical control.
Clear findings supported by evidence
Separation of fact, opinion and unresolved points
Practical action to reduce recurrence
A structured report for operators, insurers, warranty providers, legal teams or other stakeholders
Legal and dispute support
Independent technical opinion within my areas of competence.
I can provide an independent technical opinion for vehicle, maintenance, repair and engineering disputes that fall within my qualifications and experience.
Where a report may be used for legal proceedings, insurance consideration, a warranty dispute or an ombudsman review, this must be explained at the beginning. I will confirm what evidence is required, whether the matter is within my competence and whether another specialist should also be involved.
I will not accept instructions outside my expertise. Specialist forensic work, accident reconstruction, laboratory analysis, metallurgy or fire causation would require the appropriate separately appointed specialist.
